2003 Assessment Fellows


 

 

All Assessment Fellows presented posters on their assessment projects at the January 23, 2004, Assessment Forum.

Susan Bartels (School Psychology) developed new portfolio requirements and grading rubrics.

Donna Cox (Health Care Management) improved the program’s portfolio assessment process and developed new assignments for working with culturally diverse populations.

Whitney Garcia and Marion Hughes (Sociology) engaged 20 students in a special sociology seminar to develop a new test of disciplinary knowledge, a portfolio, and a syllabus for a new capstone course.

Stacey Irwin (Electronic Media & Film) designed an approach to assessing writing in the discipline.

Cynthia Kalodner (Counseling Psychology) articulated program learning goals with the program curriculum and developed a portfolio assessment process for the program.

Sharon Pitcher (Reading) designed improved ways to assess student learning in the Reading Clinic, including self-reflection.

Joseph Topping (Chemistry) re-engineered laboratory assignments in Introductory Analytical Chemistry Laboratory (CHEM 210).

Cheryl Wood (Instructional Technology) developed new assessments for ISTC 201 (Using Information Effectively) including self-reflection.
