Chili Peppers everywhere! There were very few places we visited in New Mexico that we did not see or eat chili peppers. There hung everywhere. Chili peppers are harvested and hung up to dry. People then can pick chili peppers off the rastra and add to any dish. And add they did...breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This rastra is red chili peppers but green chili peppers are available. It was quite an experience getting this rastra home on the airplane. I now can add red chili peppers to dishes created in my own kitchen.Red chili peppers are said to have medicinal value but I cannot confirm that rumor. Chili peppers were moderate in spiciness but watch out for the mole' sauce!!
