dr chen - just a quick note - something you might want to pass onto your smemster 2
students....If any of them are planning on med school - physics never goes away!
Last month we had our biochem class and got to spend hours modeling equivalent circuits
for cell membrane function.  Did you ever do this before.  You set it up so the cell membrane
is the capacitor and the ions channels are like resistors.  Kinda neat.

Hi - just wanted you to know we are still alive and were
presented our White Coats ( a reward for passing Anatomy I guess).
see attached picture!!! Big BioCHem test tomorrow, so we are
studying like crazy.  Have a great holiday!!

Hi Dr. Chen -
How are you?  sorry I have been out of touch - school is rough.  But I am
happy to say that I finished my first class last Thursday!  No more Gross
Anatomy - of course I am assuming that I passed my final!  School is much more
time consuming than I expected.  I study about 5-6 hours a day [outside of classes] - til around
10:30 or so.  Then the week before the tests, it is crazy and we all study at
lest 10 hours a day.  Nuts.  So I really have little outside of school to
report!  Next class is BioChem which is supposed to be pretty tough, but at
least we don't have as many lab hours.

Hi Dr. Chen -
What's up?   Did you start school yet?  I am sure you can't wait to begin
Physics again!  Were you able to find a new tutor?

Amelia and I did a pre-matriculation summer pgm at MD this summer which was
hard, but I am so glad we did it.  At least we have seen a decent portion of
the material before.  We have been in 'real' med school school for about 2
weeks now and it's a ton of work as I am sure you know.  The first class (10
weeks) is Stucture and Development which = embryology, gross anat., histology
and a bit of radiology reading.  Never a dull moment.  So far all has been
interesting and the teachers are good.  Thursday we were fited for our White
dr. Coats - funny - I can't imagine actually wearing it since I still don't
really know anything!!

Anyway, I hope you and your family are doing well.  Gotta hit the books! I'll
email you again soon.  Also, if you have any students that have premed
questions, you can tell them to email me at this address.
take care!
