Judges will consider re-cuts or versionings the SAME PIECE.

You should make two copies of your work, an online version for the initial online judging and a full-resolution version for possible finalist screening.

All works, video and audio, will screened by judges online for the first round.

All works making it to the public screening will be screened from separate full-resolution files (keep a separate full-resolution Quicktime .mov file ready.)

Videos originally longer than 10 minutes may be shortened to fit the time limit or consist of a 10 minute exerpt.



1. Output Your Work

Videos outside these settings or not uploaded to Youtube, Vimeo or Soundcloud can't be screened by our judges.

So your video will play smoothly for all our judges, don't upload HD for your initial application

Have your video/sound file setting as viewable by the public.

For Standard Definition Works: 360x240
For High Definition Works (16:9): 640x360

Data Rate: Automatic

Frame Reordering: Unchecked

audio portion:
Codec: MP3 or AAC preferred

What About Audio-Only Works?!

To maintain a universal judging platform, all audio-only works must be submitted either as Soundcloud uploads or as Youtube videos.

Make sure to to make your video public so our judges can see your work. Remember to test your video once it's uploaded and then copy the URL (you'll need it to fill in the festival application form.)
