David R. Ownby

DAVID R. OWNBY

David Ownby is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. He joined the Towson University Chemistry Department in 2007, after three years at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. While at SFA, David was an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science, managed the Environmental Assessment Laboratory, and Taught a broad range of classes including Introduction to Environmental Science, Environmental Measurements, Environmental Assessment, Ecotoxicology, and Coastal and Estuarine Environmental Issues.

Prior to SFA, David was a post-doctoral fellow and lecturer at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Before entering academia, he spent eight years in the southeastern US earning his advanced degrees and working as an environmental consultant.
