Stonewall

Stonewall is dedicated to publishing poetry from a lesbian, gay or bisexual perspective.  Jan-Mitchell Sherrill's Friend of the Groom and Joel Zizick's Hypoglycemia and the Need to Practice It are among the first full-length collections.

In addition to bringing out booklength manuscripts, Stonewall also runs an annual chapbook competition.  The deadline for submission is August 15; authors should submit 20-30 pages of poetry or short fiction with a $20 reading/judging fee, along with a S. A. S. E.  Prize is publication of the chapbook.   Query first.

Recent chapbook winners:  Jim Elledge, Into the Arms of the Universe; Janell Moon, Lesbian Speaker's Bureau; Rane Arroyo, The Naked Thief; and Jeff Mann, Bliss.
