I highly recommend placing all your web pages in a column
format for the following reasons:

Research indicates that the eye should be able to read the width
of a line of text in 2-3 lateral eye movements or the eye becomes fatigued
and strained rapidly.

The mind processes and retains more information with column formatting
(e.g., text books, manuals, newspapers, magazines).
-
Computer monitors are hard on the eyes and anything that aids the reading
process should be employed.

You must use HTML
tables to create columns on web pages. This page is formatted
in a column format using an HTML table with:

No borders
-
1-row
-
2-columns (left column is blank- provides small margin from the edge of
page)
