Using Visual
Information Effectively
ART 100
Classes are a combination of lecture/demonstration, group discussion, and lab experience. Cooperative projects in Powerpoint are developed using the University's library resources and internet research. To borrow library books from other campuses within the University System of Maryland, follow this book request tutorial prepared by Sara Nixon. Emphasis is placed upon components of visual design, plus validity of written composition. Journals are compiled with research documented in Chicago style. Each student also designs web pages for the course. The Art Department maintains computer labs for student use.
