On Sept. 9, 2006, I took the PAGS portable planetarium to the Howard County Fairgrounds for the Big Event of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland. This is a day of fun and patch-earning activities for the scouts. We incorporated the planetarium into some of the astronomy-related patches the girls could earn. My husband Craig helped with set up and take-down and our son Oliver (2.5 months) supervised.
