High Touch and High Tech: Converting the “touch” to on-line classes. Can we and should we?

Objectives:
· Clarify the meaning of "high touch" activities, dealing with affective and interpersonal aspects of learning
· Use a chart of common high touch activities and see how to convert them to a high touch on-line version.
· Analyze which activities are unique and exclusive to either f2f (face-to-face) or on-line sessions.
· Decide
how to determine which high touch activities to use in either environment.
Materials needed:
1. Overhead projector
2. 2 Newsprint- post it or tape
3. Stickie notes – color coded
4. Markers
5. Card stock – 3 Model cards with Lewin’s adaptation of Unfreezing; Moving to a New level = Freeing, Flexibility; Flexible Re-formulating
