The American Criminal Justice Association - Lambda Alpha Epsilon was formed in the 1937 as a brotherhood of professionals in the criminal justice field. Today it has evolved into a worldwide community of students and professionals, both active and retired, involved in criminal justice. For detailed information, visit the National Grand Chapter website.
Towson University's chapter of ACJA/LAE, Tau Upsilon Mu, was recognized in 2007. This chapter evolved from Towson University's Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA). The CJSA remains the official campus organization for all Towson University students with a scholarly or professional interest in criminal justice and criminology. It also houses Towson University's ACJA/LAE chapter.
CJSA events are open to all members of the campus community. ACJA/LAE events are open only to students who have joined ACJA/LAE.
