GEO is an computer-assisted strategic business gaming simulation
with an international entrepreneurship orientation. It may be used
in conjunction with an academic program, or independently as a
competitive event. The simulation is a multi-player game that tracks
individual participants, who may be assigned to groups. The
simulation is an Internet-based client-server Windows application that
requires Microsoft's .NET Framework, which older computers can
download from
Microsoft's support Web site.
To see how the simulation functions, download
GEO Demo.
Select Run/Open at all security prompts, unless your browser gives
you only the option of saving the program, in which case you should
save the program to the desktop and launch it from there afterwards. When the program unzips and
launches itself, an Access-to-GEO dialog box will appear. Select the
Register button, and register yourself using a fictitious name. When
you OK the registration, the program's main frame will appear. You
can do anything you like at that point. When the demo exits, it
cleans up after itself, leaving nothing on the computer. The
audio-visual modules below require Windows Media Player Version 9 or
greater. Narrative descriptions are in PDF format. |

to download and install a sample version of GEO. The sample version is
populated with many participants and companies. It shows what the game
looks like in the middle of the exercise. As with the demo version, you
register by depressing the Register button on the Login dialog when the
program runs. The installed program resides on the computer after it
exists, so you can re-launch GEO through Windows' Start button. Use
Windows' Add or Remove Programs utility to uninstall the program.
If the installation fails or if you prefer not to install the sample version, click

download and run the sample version without installing it. |
