My lab currently has several ongoing research projects.
Quantification of trace metals in storm water retention ponds in suburban Maryland. We are looking at metal levels in water, sediment and the tissues of organisms using these ponds.
Fluxes of trace elements from urban impervious surfaces (roads) into retention ponds during storm events
Evaluation of stormwater pond contributions to elevated salinity in groundwater and surface water
Use of constructed wetlands to control nitrogen and phosphorus exports from golf courses
