Dr. Baker joined the faculty of the Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies at Towson Universityin the fall of 2001. He holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and the Ph. D. in Communication from the University of Washington. Before becoming a member of the faculty at Towson, he taught in the School of Journalism and Telecommunication at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Baker is an outstanding teacher. He has been a leader in the department by advancing new media, conducting program reviews, and redeveloping the graduate program. As a scholar he has published widely and given many juried presentations.
